Members of the Sterling Club,
In the coming weeks we have a board and general meeting scheduled. With the current restrictions, it pains me to announce the cancelation of both the meeting of the board (4/3) and the general meeting (4/10) for the month of April. All members of the Sterling Club are considered at higher risk of this serious infection.

Until further notice, the club’s lower level will be available for your individual enjoyment and as a place of refuge. The Club Manager has accelerated the disinfecting and cleaning of the lower level by the cleaning crew in order to make sure all members have a safe space.

All members will need to show appropriate care by:

  1. Disinfecting the areas you have used and leaving a clean space for the next member.
  2. Washing hands with soap before touching anything behind the bar.
  3. Stay home if having any COVID-19 like symptoms (err on the side of club safety), including cough or mild fever.
  4. Keep the number of nonmember visitors to a minimum.
  5. Refrain from using the 1st floor areas. Cleaning will not be done (cost savings).
  6. Don’t spray the liquor bottles or anything else that will cause us to swallow disinfectant.
  7. Use hand sanitizer when entering and leaving.

We now know that this virus can be transmitted from asymptomatic persons, or someone who isn’t showing any symptoms, which means we all must take extreme care to not put others at risk. For additional information see

If the club manager feels that members are not taking appropriate care it might become to close the club altogether. So please wipe down your areas and keep all of us healthy.

Thank You,
Ellery C.
